Pierre and Marie Curie University, Paris, France Ph.D

Laura received her B.Sc. degree in Biological Sciences in 2009 and a Master's degree in Integrative Biology and Physiology in 2011 from Pierre and Marie Curie University in France. In 2014, she finished her PhD with Dr. Philippe Lesnik at Pierre and Marie University, where she worked on the survival mechanisms of macrophages and dendritic cells, and its impact on inflammation and atherosclerosis. In 2015, she joined PrAdamopoulos laboratory at the University of California, Davis as a postdoctoral fellow. She studied the role of immune cytokines (IL-17/IL-23 and IL-27) in inflammatory arthritis & psoriasis diseases and the interplay between γδ T cells & innate immune cells. Laura then moved to San Francisco to start a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr Robert Raffai in May of 2017 and is currently investigating the impact of hyperglycemia on the release of microRNA in exosomes derived from myeloid cells in the context of vascular inflammation and atherosclerosis.
